Thoughts on takebacks?

I think once I get better at Chess, I'll just utilise the CHAT and inform my opponent or ask my opponent, "taksey-backsey this one?" Rated or not..

You more advanced players should have an icon indicating that you're not forgiving. It's about keeping it fun at the end of the day no?

Keep Chess fun please :)
If you let the person do a takeback then what have they learned? That it's ok to make a mistake because they'll get a takeback. If you don't give it to them, they learn not to make mistakes. It's for the good of them, really! :P

@gatorvalle

I'm not sure if you can do this before the first move or not (since I have takebacks turned off), but if the takeback button is grayed out in-game then they turned it off.
Basically, it is a competition, you play for points and rating. If you cannot stand it leave it. The price for quick moving is that errors are included - in every fashion. You cannot move quickly on the one hand and have fully comprehensive insurance on the other.

I am not the one who asks: "Oh, I see, you wanted to hit the ball but you were not skilled to kick - mind trying it again?"

Those internet-only chessplayers with their own free-style rules are a special brand.

How about an icon, much like the donator icon, indicating that this player does not take back? I vote for a mean face icon.

I think this thread is pretty much settled, if my idea is implemented.

I personally would steer clear away from mean faced chess players.

Chess is a thinking game. If you mess up, you weren't thinking hard enough. It's part of the game desu.
I propose a mean face icon for the players who annoy other players with illegal take-back requests.

I'd like to be able to block players who have takebacks disabled, just because of misclicks.
Because of YOUR misclicks?

So basically you wanna "pull him over the time" -that's why you are moving so fast- and because you are not skilled at that he should be so kind and give you another chance?

I see one chance: play unrated in a separate "take-back room"
