What do you mean difficult? I made my points and gave reasoned arguments.
> Yes, it is public, and you can track my games. And you could write some software script even to find out my total activity on Lichess, even more than revealed by the profie page.
> But that would be some effort, wouldn't it?
Agreed.
I would compare it with the insights, for example, also computable but it takes an effort and you can select whether to share it or not. I think your claim is that this "time spent" should be like insights, i.e. that you could choose not to share it.
> There are some reasons not to offer these informations on a golden plate to everyone. @peppie23 suggested a couple of those.
Those suggestions were just silly as they all involved people doing silly things (wanting to keep in secret an activity they're willingly doing in public).
And that was my main point; it's the most useless number in the history of "informations" that people can use against you, all things considered.
> There is not much info on the profile page. Not where I live, not how old I am etc.
Exactly. Those constitute good examples of sensitive information that you may choose not to show.
> And though I think it is nice to see from which country my opponent comes,
No, it's not nice.
> but what use is it to see how many days and hours I have been playing on Lichess in the last 8 years?
No use at all, as far as I can tell.
I cannot care less about that number.
Which is why I'm surprised you care so much and seem to justify incredible uses for that number.
Again, it's such a useless thing that it doesn't make a difference whether it's there or not IMHO
