Remove Resign Button

On the contrary. People should mostly learn to resign earlier. When you are playing at a certain level it's just rude to play on.

A thread on evolution in the general chess forum went on for 7 pages and it still isn't closed.
I'm going to say chances are slim.

Close thread is fine, but fix big problem first.

Closing this thread won't help because players will just create new threads.

Calling things a "bug" or a "big problem" doesn't make you right, and you still haven't read #4.

So why does the ability to close threads exist?

I'm not a moderator, but I'm guessing the reason the ability to close a thread exists is because moderators can use threads to promulgate information without inviting discussion.
