Remove Resign Button

I think players will win more games if they stop resigning, so resign button should be removed. Thanks
It's only January 9th and this is already the thread of the year 2017 for me.
I see the button every time I make a move, and it is too tempting! At least put it somewhere less noticeable.
Can't you set your preference to "confirm resignation" so you need to click it twice to resign?
um resignation is one of the rules of chess, you want the alter chess?
no, because when they resign one person wins. When they don't resign the other person will either win or it will draw. So there will be fewer wins,
Not sure about that logic #6. Its not hard to lose winning positions.
the problem is, if i am forced to play on in a clearly lost posetion, the site is making my time, and my opponent's, ... totally lost!

...I'll see myself out.
#7 The OP suggests there will be more wins from removing resign button. In any individual game, only one player can win, one will lose (unless a draw). By playing on rather than accepting 1-0 there is a risk of a draw therefore over enough games there will be fewer wins by disallowing resigning, and more draws.

I know it's not hard to lose winning positions, as I have found out.

Plus, it will make people disconnect more.
I don't want to play out a boring game where I am a queen down for nothing. I would prefer to resign instead of wasting my time and my opponents time. There are positions where it makes total sense to resign out of respect as well. Its not respectful to play on in a lost position say KvsK and 5 connected pawns against someone higher rated than you. I find it horribly disrespectful even though you have every right according to the rules of chess to play to mate.
