[Feature request] 15 seconds + 0 games. ¼+0 games.

@risky-chess So if I understand correctly the reason for you to disagree on introducing 15 sec. chess on lichess is that you don't like bullet and always lose? Also, if this extreme form of bullet is introduced you would still be able to play 2+1. EDIT: If it's introduced, you aren't forced to play this. It's just more fun for other people.
if i play bullet,then often prefer 2+1 or 1+2 time control,but sometimes i lose too :)
I like this idea. Of course you need a good mouse, but if you don't have one, you can play a different time control. I think it was opper who said that maybe a different rating system for 1/4, which might be good for people like opper and penguin who don't want to risk their bullet rating in a tournament.
I do agree that as these hyperbullet time controls become more popular (and more extreme) we should probably have a separate rating category for them.

Already, including 2+1 and 30s+0 in the same category is at least bizarre, and once you start talking about 15s+0, this difference is even starker.

Just my two cents, I think a reasonable line is anything with the total estimated time being less than 1 second per move, which is about the lower limit of actually responding to an opponent's move instead of premoving or hovering.

Lichess estimates 40 moves per game when calculating how increment affects time control categories, so that would put the limit at 40 seconds per game.

Something in the 40 seconds - 60 seconds per game category makes good sense to me, and since 0+1 is estimated at 40 seconds and is much more like traditional bullet than hyperbullet, I'd say anything <40s makes sense for a new rating category.

Another good reason to have a new rating category for this is that many people do indeed have different strengths at bullet compared to hyperbullet.

There are at least a handful of players I've noticed consistently gain substantial rating when playing hyperbullet and lose it back when playing traditional bullet, and vice versa.

Again, just my two cents.

I wish all you crazy hyperbulleteers great happiness, and I pray you hold on to your sanity at least for a little while :)
@Titus369 I also agree with that. I would like to keep my 1 minute bullet separated from anything below that. It also is a big difference between 1 minute and 15 seconds. It's 4 times slower, so why should it be in the same rating system? It's nuts.
I love 30sec chess and I love +1 sec chess.

15sec and even 10sec options would be pure heaven.

After reading through other comments, I am also liking the idea of separate rating category for HyperBullet.

I hope this gets implemented! :D

Friendly Greetings,
MathematicalPenguin
