Ah! I've never really understood the desire to cheat in a game on a free site, where no money is concerned - other than the obvious of creating a cheat engine that couldn't be detected (the skill of being a good coder). Yeah, OK, now it's obvious, reading through the remarks. The reason why someone might be interested in using an engine on free site where no fiscal reward is because it competes with paid chess sites, that charge their customers. It would be in the interest of a subscription chess site to disrupt a free of charge, free of advertising competitor.

What have you offered is more to the point? Have you read this thread and understood it? What are your grievances related to how the developers are handling the problem? We can all pull anecdotal evidence of cheating out of our history but what is it that you are suggesting, specifically could be done better to detect them?
I think once this becomes personal, the man who wanted to close down this thread would be right to do so.

That's not true for just us low ratings, it's true for every rating. Your 'CIA' is disrespectful, not because you hate and want to 'out' cheaters but because you do it int the public forum. Well as far as I am aware, the CIA is a group that has been around for a long time and is supported by Lichess, and it is not my group.
As I said it seems best to close this thread now as it has become a personal attack, one to which I am not going to add to by resopondin any further.
