Trophies in the profile

@Francesco_Super fr
Exactly!
People are more motivated to play tournaments!

Because like now, there are NO differences to play simple rated games instead of tournaments, because in both cases....you don't win nothing!
Yep, collecting some small medals would be a good motivation for people to participate in tournaments.
I've been waiting for trophies for ages..I want them!
I agree with @blackzombie #5's post, giving out trophies for winning just any tournament in general I feel would decrease the value of having the trophy. But having big tournaments like marathons u1600, can give a chance for the medium to lower range to win trophies.
Marathon is a looooooong tournament .... only few players can play for many many hours in a row.
I work, i have a children and a family..... for me, and for 90% of the players, is impossible to complete a marathon.

I think that there should be different trophies;
- The IMPORTANT Trophies for great players 2300+(marathons, top100/50/10 player of lichess etc...)
- And simple tournament trophies dedicated for all... simple cup for tournaments winners 1st, 2nd and 3rd places (like chesscom).

Everybody should dream to have a little award for 1, 2 and 3 place in an official lichess tournament, not only for 2400+ players, otherwise is frustrating.

Because, like now, play a tournament or play a single rated games, don't has differences....in both cases, you don't win nothing and a lot of players are not motivated to play tournaments.

I prefer lichess compared to chesscom, i switched off from chesscom months ago, but for the tournaments (swiss mode is better than "time mode" of lichess, trophies for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and the satisfaction to show your trophies in your profile...etc....) chess.com is far better.
@ya_boy_Agent giving out trophies might make them lose value, but to me they already have no value at all, since I'm out of competition.
@ScaccoLento 's solution is very practical: minor trophies for minor tournaments (to keep people motivated) and big trophies for big tournaments (prestige).
Look at them as achievements in videogames: open for all but not all get them!
