There should be harsher penalties for crappy behavior. My character isn't that good but I've never abandoned a game in thousands of games.

People letting clock run out is very common I get it 5 to 10 times per day.

Once a 2500 player was winning a streak of bullet games against me, and when I was probably going to get all my rating points back in one game because he fell for a lousy opening trap, he chose to dissapear and let his time run out. The notorious game Steinitz x Bardeleben ended like this: Frustrated that even with mate in one he could not save the game, Bardeleben left the tournament hall without complimenting anybody, letting his time run out. So, even masters do that sometimes.
