I have no idea what I did, but I wanted to practice blindfold chess and made my pieces invisible. I remember turning off "last move indicator" and "show valid moves" plus maybe changing my piece set. I've undone all of these changes and yet my pieces remain invisible, but only after I start the game. I can see my pieces just fine before the game starts.
