Clock kept ticking after move

I lost on time due to my clock keeping ticking. When I tried to make a move again, it just said premove.

I had exactly the same a couple of weeks ago - didn't happen again since. Probably just a random network issue.

You guys are so used to having a perfect internet.

It's your own internet connection problem.

When this happens, completely reload your page. You wont leave the game and it will refresh with the current server status.

If you're on mobile... hit the little chessboard icon in the top right corner and then select your current game. It'll resync and you'll have lost some seconds, but be back in the game.

It's definitely a sync problem, that *may* or *may not* be internet related. Who knows for sure without digging into the code and experiencing the problem first hand, but I've definitely been hit with it as well.

@TheLittleNut Refreshing the page unfortunately does not fix internet issues.

To find out when it <i>is</i> the server's fault, and when it is your internet's fault, check this link: lichess.org/lag

Still, sometimes refreshing the page helps, but when you have 3000ms+ in lag, it's probably better not to. (ie: The page might not load in time ect.)

@seanysean Of course it wont fix internet issues, if there's a massive latency or a complete drop.

But if there's a 'glitch' of some sort it will resync the game status and you can carry on.

It was not a connection issue, nor the site being down, had the time to check both. Never thought of refreshing, which, to be frank, should have been my first reaction.

This makes the bug manageable, since it is quite rare.
