The 50 moves rule isn't applicable in the game you linked to. Because there never was a 50 move sequence where neither a pawn was moved nor a capture happened.
You're right, I forgot about the "pawn move"-rule because I don't think it has ever before been important in one of my games. I should have checked that, sorry.
I think the engine looks for ply 101 to use the fifty-move rule. I don't mind the current rules the engine uses, I just like testing what it will do in certain situations.
