What is your experience with takebacks?

I accepted someone's takeback, then later I made a massive blunder and proposed a takeback, which was not accepted.

Was I being too nice? I eventually resigned when my takeback was not accepted, it didn't matter winning the game at that point, I just didn't want to play with that person anymore.
Most people Ive faced, even with a miclick that loses the game, dont even ask for one. I am inclined to accept almost all takebacks, as its just rating points that one can gain back later

It wasn't a misclick for either of us. I never asked for a takeback, I just thought it would be fair. I don't know if I should accept them again if everyone is going to be like this.

That ain't chess. The referee in chess won't allow. Show me the rules!

What about if you are playing casual game, and the game is really interresting until you / your opponent missclick.
Wd u accept ? I préfère accept takeback if its an obvious missclick, but not on a blunder
I switched them off so I don't have to think whether to accept them or not. Needless to say it works for me :)
i will typically accept them if asked almost instantaneously and there was a logical move one square away, assuming a mouse slip. But if I suspect it was a realized blunder, then no.
