Is Lichess.org slowly becoming Chess.com? =(

So I was playing this guy (obviously not going to shame him in public).

It was hyper bullet and he checkmates me at the last moment and says "learn to resign scumbag" and then proceeds to swear at me and flood my inbox with spam messages telling me to go suck a c*ck etc.

Lichess is usually a nice place, and this type of behavior I have been seeing a bit more often. I really hope lichess is not becoming chess.com for instance where people swear at each other right after a game.

I am even alright with someone swearing in the chat in frustration, like I mean it happens. But when someone PMs you saying "clown got raped" and"I loved to rape you kiddo" it just makes me disappointed if this is becoming the norm for lichess.

Are any of you noticing a downward progression in the community?

yes, many from chess.com are coming here. Its a trolling thing going on there as many of you know, because of reddit, but people there dont like it anymore and now many of them are moving here.

Shame, I was a trash talking guy from chess.com, simply because the community is soooo hostile there. But then I went to Lichess and I became much kinder and more open minded. Maybe they need to stay here a while.

Yeah, those people suck. Just ignore them.
But there are still a lot of very good people here. And I'm certainly one of them. :)

As we say in my country : a falling tree is noisier than a growing forest.

Hahaha I assumed so. Anyway, don't bother yourself with such people. Just play your chess, and ignore them. If they have to insult on the internet, they must be really sad in life!

Report these suckers and then block them. PM me their names and I will manually block them as well. Cant stand crap like that. Its bad enough that we have cheaters sometimes. We don't need faks like that coming here as well.
