If you were in Nepo's shoes right now, what would you do?

I would show up each day to get the nearly milllion dollar paycheque he will get whether he wins or loses, and then just go in the rest area and sleep for 2 hours till my time ran out. Just to screw magnus so he has to sit there for 2 hours. But then I'm kind of verdictive. This approach might not be for everyone.

Why am I so small and standing inside Nepo's boots?
Well, the least i would do if im getting payed nearly 1 million dollars for 2 weeks is to play for the win next games, even if that means throwing the match, which is kinda lost already anyways. I do need to try to deliver blood, which is why they hired him in the first place.
I honestly wouldn't blame him if he just played out easy draws from now - get it over with and then start rebuilding and thinking about what's next.

What I'd hope, though is that being essentially out of the match will take some of the pressure off him (I wonder how much his play yesterday was affected by the fact that a win would have put him right back in contention for the match?) and he'll just play some good, interesting chess without being too desperate to find three wins...
I will play Alekhine’s opening against 1.e4

Against 1.d4 I will play Dutch opening

Is Sarg0n walking away with a check for 800k?
If I were in Nepo's shoes I would get mad, refuse to back down and fight like hell!

This could very well be a once in a lifetime opportunity for Nepo, as winning the candidates is no easy task. I think he shouldn’t tuck tail and go out with a whimper. He should show some fighting spirit here, take it one game at time, and throw everything at Magnus to win. Whether he loses 3-0 or 5-0 isn’t important. What matters is trying to get back in this match, which means sharp chess against Magnus. I feel it would be much better for him to risk going down in flames, fighting until the bitter end, rather than resigning himself to defeat and wimping out. And honestly, despite how much of a long shot it is at this point, how epic would it be if he did mount a successful comeback in this match? Nepo is undoubtedly hurting right now, but he needs to turn those feelings into a bitter resolve to fight until the end. Go all in Nepo! Don’t be a quitter! You are a phenomenal chess player and you may never get this opportunity again. You don’t want to later on regret that you didn’t do everything you could in a last ditch effort to win it all and realize your dream.

(He probably won’t read this but I hope he does.)
