Registration will open for the month of August at awc.chessvariants.training/ when available (just need to log into your Lichess account there to register).

Most of the rules have not changed - the only change has been to the AWC seeding rating rules/calculation in an effort to better seed players for the tournament.

Registration closes 31 August 2023, with Round 1 commencing by September 11.

i did not fully undesrtand when the round are going to be played. Is the first round starting at 00:00 UTC (meaning that i do not get to decide on which day to play with my first round opponent)? Then the following rounds are played once a week and I have to agree with my opponent on a day to play the round, am I right?
