What makes a thing funny?

Today, a picture was shown to a group of friends (and me), and they immediately started laughing, whereas I have no idea why... It just showed a face whose structure was a bit unusual and whose chin is slightly long and whose eyes were drawn with further lines, making it seem 'big' and as if it bleeds. Furthermore, a couple of letters, stating 'when I see my gf' were written in a 90º ankle and colored white.

And I actually did not get it. Firstly, there was a typo, as there are no end quotes and no dot at the end of this sentence, meaning the whole picture is told by the character who told us this thing about seeing gm's. Secondly, another mistake was made by the incorrect typing of gm. And funny enough, 'when I see my gm' is not a complete sentence, as the second part is missing. Except for the character is called 'When I", there is no way that is grammatically correct. But then it must be "When I seeS my gm"

What was so funny at that? I mean either when I sees the gm, or he/she (really blows my mind) does not. Was it the face? The incorrect spelling?

Yes, but it just happens to be me who misses the chance to laugh. Always. There has to be some kind of checklist for when to start laughing, right?

In my view, funniness is if your analysis does not fit with some thinking you had.
Dumb stuff (your analysis = not logical)
Not calculated (your analysis = you did not expect)
I do not know if something else should be added.

But it seems my definition does not match with the others. And I have not got the reaction time, or the motor skills to regard what others do all the time.

If you don't find something funny and ur friends find it and start laughing laugh with them too. If you don't they will think u are humorless even when u are not! It doesn't matter whether you find it funny or not and it's not necessary that something u find funny will found funny by others too.They found that picture funny but u didn't. The some way if u will find something funny they won't it's just the different perspectives of people
