LOVING the new Quick Pairing game options

@IsaVulpes

i think that 30+20 is very good for OTB practice.

remember that in OTB, you have to waste time to write down your moves, and to make actual physical moves and push the clock.

and, usually, people take little walking breaks, while here you need to finish the game in one sitting, .. this is the internet.

so if you want to practice for real OTB, 30+20 is perfect, so when you go OTB, you get that extra few seconds to make you feel comfortable.

i think i wanted to suggest 45+20 for OTB, but 30+20 might even be better.
I really like the changes, 15+15 seems to me more like a rapid time control than a classical one.
I would prefer 25+10 instead of 30+0 (because I like increments, and 25+10 is more standard time control), but it's only an opinion. I will enjoy playing 15+10 rapid and 30+20 classical games as well.
Thanks Lichess!

PD: I couldn't agree more with your comments @IsaVulpes .
To begin, I want to express my thanks to Mr. Duplessis (@thibault) and the team of developers behind this beautiful project called Lichess. Their hard work makes this platform the best option to play chess online.

Second, I want to express my satisfaction at the new setting on the quick pairing grid. Looks great!...

I highlight in particular the inclusion of two control times for Classical games. These slow game rhythms are essential for newbies and for players who enjoy the essence of true chess: deep analysis.
I am honestly concerned about the damage the bullet and blitz are doing to new generations of chess players. These fast-paced game rhythms are a dangerous fashion that corrupts the spirit of sport, stripping it of its intellectual nature and turning it into a mere game where luck and instinct become more relevant.

It's nice to note that the suggestions posted by users on Lichess Feedback and GitHub are actually taken into consideration by the Lichess team. This fact motivates me to continue participating in the discussions in this forum.

Thank you!

Great to see the new time controls, wish there was a middle ground between 5+3 and 10+0 though, something like 7+4. I like 5+3 but sometimes want just a bit more time, and 10+0 is annoying without increment and 10+5 is just too much more.
7+4 = 9.67 minutes if you take an average of 40 moves per game (which is quite low anyway)...
This is great! Just the other day I was commenting on this. Thank you lichess developers!!
Hi Lichess,

This is a very interesting change. I am a 40 something year old newbie at chess (started 2019) but have just recently managed to scratch and and claw my way to an average rating of 1525 in 10+0.

It is now clear to me that winning at this level is more about tactics instead of pouncing on your opponents blunders. I was about to make the switch to 15+15 Classical since 10+0 doesn't provide me enough time for to figure out the best tactics.

15+10 seems like it will be a great option and I like the fact it will be included in the Rapid format.
