Strange Victories

Hello everyone,

it often happens to me even in blitz games, that my opponent (especially if of a lower level), plays quite well, but at some point in positions if not critical but at least a little complex, weighing and suddenly abandoning, even in equal positions or even higher. Could this be a symptom that you have improperly tried to use the analysis board?

Yours sincerely

I mean not really, they are a lower rated player for a reason, they might play basic opening theory moves or even opening ideas but might not be able to execute well or construct a plan on how to continue from specific positions.

Some positions may require certain tactics that usually high rated players are familiar with, and your opponents might not know the exact way to continue precisely.

A player is only winning if they continue in the winning line.
