to bad for the lichess,to many cheaters here ,users and time thiefs.i born play against them
I have to say I dont think I have found as many players using computers here as I think I did in other websites. In general I think it is really difficult for a non professional like myself to accurately identify a cheater, maybe if I go back to the game and check the move times that would give me a better idea but its not 100% accurate.

I think some people may take me for a cheater because I pre-move a lot of moves in some of my openings (especially playing Black in a Sicilian), but that does not mean I have cheated (in fact I have not cheated). After some games I do go to the chess engine and see if I could have improved my opening and try to remember for the next time, I have caught a few opponents by surprise like this but I do not count this as cheating since the game was over by then, still my opponent may have thought I cheated because I knew the trap and played it very fast...
Experienced cheater needs an experienced mod to catch him in cheating...
Believe me, Lichess was full of cheaters before, now the number is significantly reduced, only some "undetectable' left
havent undetectable cheaters, they are the periodical bots.they use bot not all the time but time to time in the game, at the begining for good potition ,or the end for win,or for a few moves and then again for othr few moves etc.u can found the cheaters only if u have the IP pc adress and see if he use bot from the pc history
Asxetos: How can they use an engine only for a few moves? they would need to input the moves into the engine always and that takes time, in a 3 mins game they would easily lose on time I think...
Yes, in fast (<=3 minutes) games with no increment that sort of manual, intermittent cheating is very hard to pull off without just losing on time.

Of course, not everyone wants to play very fast games with no increment, so for those people that sort of cheating is a real concern.

Unfortunately, there's no real way to prevent that sort of cheating on a website if the time control is slow enough.

For that reason, it's best not to worry about it too much. There will always be the occasional cheater (although it is far less common than people think, in my opinion), and the most determined cheaters will always find a way.

It's best just to take some simple steps to combat the easiest methods of cheating, as Lichess has done, and then accept that the most hardened and determined cheaters will always find a way, but such people will be extremely rare.

Just enjoy the game of chess. Worrying about extremely rare events that can't be stopped only ruins the fun needlessly :)
