On browser - when i enter lichess and click on Notifications (when i have 1 notification) i can click on Quick Games for e.x. 3:0 blitz, but the whole site stops functioning and i can't neither join the game or do anything else even when i open lichess in new tab.
It gets fixed when my game gets abandoned, because i can't join and make a move
When i first click on Notifications the tab doesn't even open (just loading) which initiates the crash i think
It also happened to me more than once
Which browser are you using?
possibly an ad blocker or script blocker or whatever you are using you aren't giving lichess permission?
I am using firefox and my permissions for lichess - send notification are blocked
Can you open your browser console (F12) and check whether it shows any errors when you try this again?
I should open console when the crash happens ?
If that is the case I receive a single Notification every Saturday, so i have to wait until then to try it.
@lapetitemort Yes, ideally open the console before clicking on the notifications (as far as I understand, it crashes when you click on them?).
No need to wait that long though. You should've gotten a notification from my ping above. If you forgot to check it with the console, you can also just ask a friend or me to DM you to get a notification.
i tried it now, but it worked just fine. (with console open)
The notificaiton that the crash happens is a Inbox message (Discussion) from a Lichess Team Leader. The discussion contains around 30 messages, i am just pointing out the differences between the two notifications.
Maybe i have to clear the previous messages and it won't crash ?

But it's quite possible only certain notifications in specific circumstances are problematic. Let me know if it happens again.
it may happen because of your network issue & it can also happen due to your browser.
