Feature Request: Opening Statistics

Would be cool to see a layout of the different openings/variations one commonly plays, how many wins/losses/draws they've got with each, and the frequency with which they play those openings.
Oh, you want to get prepared for a specific player? :D
Another proof of how just about anything under the sun men could, if they please so, use for their gain and not just for informative purposes (to be frank, I didn't even consider that possibility)

But luckily, with some good intention we can pretty simply avoid such misuse and still be informed about our opening statistics, as follows: such option should be available only as "private", i.e. it could be viewed/listed only for ourselves strictly, not for any other player.
Yes, this misuse has to be prevented. It is already common in FIDE tournaments, eg. yesterday i misused my chess databse to prepare for my opp ... :-)
It would be really helpful to see your actual glicko rating in different openings, to know in what opening you are strong, and what are needed to study more.
ive been saying for a long time that a lichess opening book would really be amazing and also be another massive step up in the lichess development
#5 it's not really misuse, it's an acceptable part of any sport.

In professional boxing, boxers and their coaches will go through every single fight their opponent has had to try and find weaknesses in their style. In chess, it's even more commendable, because the games are recorded and quickly uploaded online for anyone to see.

As for the feature, it has been planned for a long time but there are several blockers to it at the moment. I wouldn't hold your breath.
¸I believe that boxing and chess comparison didn't pop-up by accident - it seems like chess becomes more alike boxing day by day... lol
Probably the chess-boxing was invented from the same reason (at least partially).
