Me and my friend decided to play puzzles and my rating is 2200+ and hers is 1600+ and it actually turns out that her puzzles were more difficult to solve which is not fair. How does lichess come up with the rating for puzzles?

@pianoplayerjames the way they do it is to treat puzzles the same as players and rate them based on whether they "win/lose" and the rating of the "opponent".
Some puzzles have a high rating because there’ll be a free piece for the taking, but you are already down a piece, and need something better than a piece. Some people don’t evaluate the position people before making the move. So not much more difficult, but a bit deceptive. On the other hand you’d never have gotten to 2000 without solving the 1600 ones.
