Make time controls commutative

In basic math we have x + y = y + x [Commutative Property]. Could we get the same for time controls please?

If we can play 1/2+0, which is where we get half a minute and no increment. We should be allowed to have 0+1/2 as well. We can start with 3 seconds (like 0+1) and get 1/2 a second bonus per move.

Could you please add this to all variants as well? Let me know when the feature is done. Thanks.
Sorry, what's so funny? I think 0+1/4 Horde would be super fun -- getting 0.25 second bonus per premove <3
That's not how the commutative property works. x+y=y+x is true because both x and y are the same type of quantity (typically just a real number, but you can put units on it as well).

The notation a+b in chess time control does NOT have matching units. Generally, a is measured in minutes, while b is measured in seconds. Yes, those are both units of time, but you may as well try to claim that 1 grape + 30 watermelons is the same as 30 grapes + 1 watermelon on the basis that they're both fruits.

Can we play a game where I have 8 queens and one pawn, and you have 1 queen and 8 pawns? This is equal material in your view, and I think it would make for an interesting game :)
#3 If you are playing from USA, you are already getting a 0.25 seconds bonus per move. (Read the paragraph about lag compensation: lichess.org/lag)

Btw, I don't understand the relation of what you propose with commutativity. I agree with @ztraynor.
Hmm, I'm in the USA and my ping says 70ms. I have tried recording my 1/4+0 games before and I notice they usually take 2 minutes, which made me irrationally angry.
As for the commutativity comments -- it's just that if I can play a+b I want to be able to play b+a. What's the big deal, we can do 180+0 and also 0+180, the only one's missing are 0+1/2 and 0+1/4..
