Deciphering events in the feed

It seems like I regularly see things in the feed about different events that come with little or no explanation. For example, right now: "ZHSL - opperwezen-amaidel". If I click on it, I can see that it's a crazyhouse game between opperwezen and amaidel, but what in the world is ZHSL? There's no information about what I'm actually looking at, as far as I can see. (Yes, I have now searched the forum and know what it is).

The other day there was a tournament with about 1800 people in it, but no information other than the words "Yearly classical tournament" to explain why so many people had joined? (I.e. a prize? a title? what makes it different from every other classical tournament?)

In short, it seems like it would be useful for there to somehow be an explanation/information tab for anything that's going to be displayed to people who may not know what's going on...
How is it that "ZHSL - opperwezen-amaidel" appears on your screen (as a tournament? simul? stream? something else)?
Ah, so it's those event boxes which could sometimes benefit from a "hover" tooltip, particularly if an abbreviation is used...
Yes, sorry. I called it a "feed," but it's just above what I think is my friends' activity feed. So yes, events.

To reiterate, I'm not asking what these specific events are. I can always open the forum and conduct a search.

I'm trying to find out why I must open the forum and conduct a search to find out. :)
Hmm, when a moderator creates an event, they can specify a "long description" which would contain such information... but from what I can see, this long description isn't displayed on the home page in any way, not in a tool tip. I'll report this as a bug.
