Study endgames or openings first?

I think nun has died now, and there are some people in this world who don't have so much money to spend on every book they hear about.
Reassess your chess! trust me it improved my rating from 750 to 1150 (with a coach)

you can lose a game terribly at any phase, and OP seems to be taking his first steps. how come no one has suggested "review your own games and try to not repeat the same mistakes" yet

Authors make very little off of their book sales. Every bit counts. Not to mention that there could be legal issues for hosting pirated material or linking to it.
well I'm really sorry, I never thought this so deeply, I have always stolen whatever book I have wanted to read. I never thought this issue is so serious.
