"Market" for time controls

Okay so guys guys hear me out: i've been absolutely fascinated with economy for a while and one takeway of the book i'm reading is that every properly functioning market has prices acting as perfect "signs" for what people should do or not, so that they can assert the pros and cons and make decisions based on it. It would be hard to decide if buying a good is worth it if you don't know how much it costs or how much there is of that good in the market.

So sometimes i am caught thinking what time control/increment should i select in order to find the most amount of games for the rest of the day...what if lichess added a feature that displayed the percentages of games of all current games (including variants especially since they are not dictated by classical/rapid/blitz/bullet formats) sorting by the time control/increment, from the most played (with the most amount of current games) to the least played?
If you want the most amount of games, you should definitely be playing 1+0 quick pairings.

That's probably right, but sheer volume isn't going to help you improve if that's what you want to do. And if you want to play for fun only, I'm not sure how playing the most possible games will help you. It's not like each game you play makes you produce 10mg of dopamine (that's probably ridiculously large, but just pretend it's a reasonable amount), and therefore you must maximize the number of games you play. That's not how it works. Or maybe it does for you, who knows?

I don't disagree, but that seems to be what the original post is asking:
> what time control/increment should i select in order to find the most amount of games
@corvusmellori So you are 100% sure, without a shadow of doubt, that Bullet 1+0 Standard is the most played format everyday, at any given time, any time of the year?

It Is not, in fact I only play rapid, classical and correspondence

I am very sure that more bullet games are played in any given day on lichess than any other format yes.

I am also fairly sure that queueing for bullet will result in *you" playing the *greatest number of games*, as the games will be much faster than any other quickpair time control, and I don't believe that the lobby queue time for ultrabullet will be fast enough to make up the difference.
Okay okay i maybe need to correct myself here: What time control+increment/variant should i select...among the ones i want to play, such that i find the most amount of games. Let's say that today i want to play blitz 3+0, or blitz 5+1, or Chess960 2+0, and i want to know which one of these options are having the most amount of games at the moment

Probably Blitz 3+0. That was just a guess

Ok, that makes more sense. But still, it usually only takes a few seconds for me to find a pairing (I usually play 3+2), and there are many more players at your level, so it should be even shorter for you.
