The chessboard is not centered in my screenview, it's terrible experience. It's also relatively smaller to the timer, this is distracting. Everything looks like it's in a random place, it was much more estetic before.
Sounds like a bug. Got a screenshot?
I think the Lichess v2 blog post said that you can resize the board when you play, so that should help with your board size issue.
But what if I don't want to read and just complain instead? :(
I'm not fond of the new UI - it seems very awkward compared to v1. The proportions of things were much nicer before, IMO. Maybe I'll get used to it, but I wish they would have kept things more like they were.....
My board is way too big for my screen and I can't even play anymore. I've been on lichess for around 3 years (on 2 different accounts), but I am seriously considering quitting now.

I can' play on this - everything is out of proportion. I can make the board smaller but the clock is still huge and distracting. Please please please give us the old version
please enable the resize board option when you spectate games.
I tried the board resize it doesn't work for me :(
