I looked at the game you lost and does not seem to have anything to do with any connection problems. You just blundered hard.
@lovlas is totally correct. Plus, as several members have pointed out, if you want to, you can always leave.
@Nettleson @bloody_mate (and others) Rating should not be your main goal. Rating is a measure of your strength. Losing or winning a game is not going to affect the long-term change of your rating. If you are 1800 and you lose a game and you go down to 1770, but your true strength is 1850 you will go back up. Ratings fluctuate a lot and one game out of thousands is nothing to cry and get upset about.
Anyway, the only reason that the site was updating was to make it better so that the users could have a better experience. Evidently, you don't seem to appreciate this. Go ahead and play on another site, make your decision. Leaving this site just because you lost ONE game out of thousands seems rather nonsensical, but go ahead and make your decision.

Guys I experience server errors every alternate day(sometimes more often). I do lose some games, but in the long run it does not matter. I totally love this site for popularizing chess!
