Continued clock issues

Last night I ran checkdisk, defrag, Norton and anything else I could think of to see if my computer was at fault for my recent spate of clock issues.

I played a few games with someone I know and we spoke by phone during the games. We played games where my clock and my opponent's clock both stopped. Both clocks were gray-not the yellow screen of a running clock. He then made a move and my clock turned yellow and started but it had run down considerably. This starting and stopping went on for a series of moves and I lost on time again. My friend thought my machine had a virus or something so I ran all the diagnostic and cleaning software I had.

I think I may have corrupted Lichess software. My opponent makes a move but my screen does not show it for a period of time during which my clock is running in the background. The question is this. Is there a way to reload Lichess but keep my screen name? Do I have to quit Lichess and re-register as a new player? Any ideas would be appreciated. This is driving me nuts. I had been accusing players of cheating but now that I had a chance to speak to an opponent during the process, I believe there is a software problem of some kind.

Thank you

Hi,

I had have the same issue several times now. The lichess server latency was good at the time, as well as the network latency.

There is a genuine clock issue with lichess. I experienced it on 1mn et 5 mn games.

Thank you.
