I use an old version of chromium, not sure which specific version.
Whenever I open up chromium, it says that my browser is not supported.
i know it sounds silly but its probably a GPL license problem
I figured out a way to work around it.
It takes a few extra seconds, as i can only access certain menus only from specific pages, but its fine. Not as good as before, mind you, but i guess i should just update my browser... (Not going to update my browser)
Like i said i just want to play and its frustrating that the site keeps changing little things that make playing difficult.

I actually use one browser for work and a different browser (Chrome) for Lichess. Thanks to a lawsuit in the '90s, it's possible to install multiple browsers on a computer.
You're not going to be able to hold onto your favorite version of Safari forever -- other sites will also slowly break in subtle ways and you'll one day need to upgrade. If you're the only person running Safari 7 in the world eventually -- you'll be the only one submitting any bug reports for it as well.
People who create things on the web can't test every permutation of every browser that's been in the wild over the last 5 years. You have IE, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari, and maybe a few more -- that's 5 minimum. Each browser has probably a significant minor version bump every 6 months - and a major one every year. Now you're talking about 25-50 different environments that need to be tested -- it's not really realistic to get super high test coverage on all of them.
@adondevamos if you really hate chrome, you could get firefox
