Your take on ai generated images

I personally think it is very low effort and people call some people call themselves a ai artists i wanna see your opinions :D
It's dangerous, where do the database images come from? this means that the AI can search for images anywhere where it is possible in relation to contracts or licenses. and it's serious. there are of course a lot of errors from the AI even if that is not the problem since there is a good capacity for memorization and learning on the part of the AI. I think we need better regulations, both on the provenance of database sources and on plagiarism and dishonest use.
ai is just another tool to use when creating art. so why not. wont change much.

Yeah and no, I've seen this said many times... and yet, as someone who actually works in the industry - graphic design gigs for art for events & other various purposes, cd covers, etc... have already dropped significantly as anyone can just type in some random thing and generate their own - Which is cool in a non-capitalistic world. But in one where artists have to survive based on their sales... it's rough.

AI is capable of doing many things, like helping with scams by making lifelike "people," besides other things like turning innocent pictures into pornography.

It's not just "another tool" - it's a very dangerous thing that allows people to both plagarise and use it for less than honourable purposes.

Of course, AI art of gardens, people, etc. is also beautiful as well :) But we shouldn't throw caution to the wind either.

i wanted to keep my post short. but the second sentence would have been, that some human art is even worse than ai generated stuff. i think its good that those bad stuff goes away. art changes. like everything. ai is just one tool to change that scene a little bit. its not like new tech was always neutral to every human and job. ppl will adapt. some will prosper.

same example with music, i mean, if i put orchestral music to musescore (or use synthesizers instead of real musicians) its starting to sound pretty good already. but i dont think real orchestra players or musicians have to fear that tool. and many will prosper by using the new music tech. like techno music scene evolved etc.

yes its like a knife, you can use it to slice bread or kill people. but in the end its a knife, nothing bad, just a tool. ppl can be bad. and crimes are punishable, regardless of the (new ai) tools used.

People can call themselves many things they arent.

Having said that, I have 0 issues with people using the tech. I actually asked the AI to make me a picture of Garry Kasparov and another one from James Hetfield, edited both a bit in gimp and then engraved them with my laser cutter to put on display.

The laser cutter itself does jobs that I cant do myself.

Tools just open new creative ways to do stuff when you dont have all the skillset, and the AI is just another tool. We live in the technology era, the Tech is already there, use it. Just be honest about your own skillset.
