Where have all the trolls gone?

I've noticed a lack of trolls lately. Not that I miss them but where have they gone? Is there perhaps a troll convention being held under some immense bridge somewhere or did they just shrivel up and drop dead of sheer meanness?

It's against Lichess Terms of Service to shame members, both previous and current members.
No public shaming.
And regarding trolls, that's for Lichess administration to decide, so even if he would answer, he then, only speaks for himself.

He is simply refering to, how the Off-Topic is less flooded with Spam, as compared to earlier.

Perhaps, they have learned that they gain nothing in the lichess forums, oe did they? Anyways, where would the term "troll" have come from, is it from a cartoon?
