I take solace in the knowledge that at least I can resign when I see the game is dead lost. Sure, I'm too ego invested, but not so bat sh*t crazy that I can't accept reality. Quite a few people are better at chess than I am. I run into them every day. Nonetheless, I am okay, --- and maybe even a gentleman.
