Post Something Scary

As a kid I always slept near a window, or maybe under it since I was quite young in my years. I always kept the curtains closed.
Why? Because I sometimes have nightmares of a figure behind my curtains, staring down on me.

I barely remember anything, aside from that the shadowy figure had an elongated neck which swayed left and right. (This nightmare occurred one or three times)

I cannot, not to this day fathom why it was scary. Maybe it was the feeling of being powerless, upon having no control over what I dream. Little me never slept near windows again, or always facing away from the window when I slept.

And I sometimes lie awake at night which ruins my sleep schedule, causing my chess OTB rating to go down.

But it's stopped, as people grow out of their childhood fears.
When I was three, I once thought a giant black cat was going to kill me. Now I just sit here, laughing pathetically about how dumb I was for even thinking that.
"Father called me up and informed my sister has passed away.
Then who am I living with for the whole day?"
When I was a wee young boy I used to wake up in the middle of the night and see a tall man standing in the corner with a top hat on. He was just staring at me. It was really scary.
From what I can remember it looked pretty real.
Then someone in my family told him to go away then he never came back again.
True Story.
you should not be scared of the monster under the bed

you should be scared of the shadow figure behind you at all times that you cannot turn fast enough to see it
If I would post my life, you would need to run away instantly in horror. So I don't
