Great post Swan. Marlene Dietrich was the ultimate counter propagandist against the nazi's and very inonic in wwii boosting the morale of troops by visiting the front lines. She earned the Medal of Freedom and Légion d'honneur and is considered a war hero. Man, listening to where have the flowers gone gets me very emotional. Pete Seger like Bob Dylan was an amazing songwriter. The German transcription is even more sad, but the version you posted is the best performance of it. Marlene was an amazing woman. She set many trends.
