Speaking as somebody who bought the first Talking Heads album right when it came out - I can safely say that the TH aren't punk and never were. They played CBGBs with the Ramones, but their style was totally unique. Impossible to classify.

My record was called "Stop Making Sense", by the way. As a young thinker, I thought this highly profound.
