When you block more than 499 people, some of them get unblocked?

In my blacklist there are 499 players. When I block someone else, the number stays 499. So, do the people, who I blocked before, get unblocked? Can you extend this number?
I think maybe you are a bit indiscriminate with the block feature don't you think? I think the tool is meant for more careful and reserved use.
People, let's not judge other people choices. It is a legitimate question!
it is probably a size restriction for performance reasons. All elements which are effected by that list have to be checked against the whole list.
I have checked it with a tool for finding differences in texts. When you block more than 499 people, some of the previously blocked players actually get unblocked.
lichess expect people to be friendly. Server isn't designed for people with so many enemies. :)
