When will you make an lichess app for PC? Lichess that you can download

What about adding an ICS interface so we can use xboard et al?
While you have a point, Chrome with one lichess tab open (and 3 extensions running) after finishing one game has only 115MB, which is not a lot. A local application could reduce that, but creating a whole new application just for a few MBs of RAM is totally not worth it.
Well, I use Firefox, which takes like 50% of RAM at all times.

I still use it, because Chrome is basically a spy tool.
Yup, same. But I chose to do the test in Chrome because I think that's what most lichess users use.
Tbh if google is stupid enough to think my info has anything of interest or is even remotely close to true, then they deserve all the crap I feed them
@NoLuckOnlySkill How little RAM do you have then? Firefox with just lichess is maybe 200MB. (it's only more if you have more stuff open, but a lichess desktop app won't fix that)
So you have 400MB total RAM?!?

The only point I see for making it possible to connect from xboard or arena or such is that for people like me who like to casually devellop chess engines, to have that engine play against humans. But I doubt there are enough of such people to make it worth it.
#18 I interpreted #14 as "50% of RAM as compared to Chrome", but now I read your message, I see that my interpretation was wrong.

Indeed Firefox does not use "50% of RAM of your total RAM", unless you have a ton of tabs open. And I have a ton of tabs open, but the RAM usage still doesn't exceed one gigabyte. If you have only one tab open with lichess, it would use way less RAM, not enough to remotely worry about.
@CafeMorphy

Thanks for the browser tip, I'll look it up.

@Vetinari_Computer

Well, I'm supposed to have 4GB RAM, but when I have only firefox running with no tabs and only lichess forum open I get 300MB RAM usage by firefox and task manager says I use 50% or RAM and firefox is the only program that seems to be taking a decent junk, everything else is just very small. Maybe I'm getting f***ed in the azz by some spy program sucking all my RAM, dunno :D
