Poll: What is the most minimalistic opening repertoire?

[] The London System for White and the Owen Defence for Black
[] Other opinion (please explain)
[] I don't care much about openings
[] I don't know what an opening is
[] Why do you ask?

Regards, Karl
i usually do what i like most for developing pieces, some pawns at the center and castling kingside preferably. Of course some known traps or tactics will help a lot your opening.
@#4 AKA MrGM:

Because:

1. i'm unsure
2. i don't have much time to practice
3. it is an interesting question
4. less is more?
what exactly do you mean by a "minimalistic opening"?
What are the moves to get to the London System and the Owen Defence?
@karlgoethebier
The London system is a good choice. But 1.d4 c5!? what will you do? Best 2.Nf3 cd4 3.Nd4 Nf6 4.Nc3 Nc6 5.e4 - the Sicilian defense. If 2.e3 Is the Debut Colle, which is not very good for white games. IMHO.
If 2.d5 Is to defense Benoni and the Volga gambit. Play Owen too dangerous. White are +0.60 and you will only suffer. The most minimal option 1.c4 - English opening for white. and 1...c5 Sicilian defence and Volga gambit for black.
But if black really wants to play the king's Indian defense and defense of Pirca-Ufimtseva, you they can not stop it. This is the way the second plan minimum opening repertoire as white to play the king's Indian beginning.
If you want to win, it is better to solve tactical problems, Lichess. I'm doing that.

1. d4 c5, the best move is considered d5 followed by either nf6 or e5. Any other move and white gives up their opening advantage.

1.d4 c5 2. Nf3 dxc4 3. Nxc4 d5 and black is better.
3. Qxd4 Nc6 4. Qa4 e6 and black is slightly better.

The only other move that scores well for white is e4 which usually transposes into a smith-morra gambit or a bad variation for white of the accelerated dragon.
