lichess is dying

Just because you played against a cheater doesn't mean the site is dying, faulty thinking.
#12 "Personally, I dont think any person who has not been seen in a IRL chess tournament should be able to make any 'TOP LIST' or be granted the rank of GM or LM."

Maybe short sighted? It takes money to enter tournaments where titles can be acquired... lots of money. The last one I visited cost me about $400 USD, in hotels, and then an entry fee.

By comparison.. online chess is relatively cheap, and available. So probably I will never progress with an OTB rating, and online will continue to change as I change (for better or worse)
1. lichess will never die. It's a well-polished chess site. It has a well integrated study system with engine analysis as well as the openings database. All seamlessly integrated. On top of that, they do have certain monitors and systems in place to help mitigate cheating. They're about to take over everyone else because their programming is completely superior, it's a free site, and it's always improving.

2. There will always be cheaters, however, there isn't anywhere near as many as people claim. I don't think I've played a single cheater yet here on lichess. Granted, I've only played 64 games so far, but still. Once you start looking for them, you'll find suspects EVERYWHERE. No good.

3. Cheaters in chess are extremely temporary. The reward of making superior moves that you have NO IDEA about...winning and having NO IDEA why...this has to be extremely brief. Far different would be cheating in a game like Call of Duty or something like that. No. Chess-Cheaters come and go quickly. For this reason, there will be a static and minimal amount of cheaters. I wouldn't worry about them too much at all.

4. I called Magnus for world champion when he was 12 and played GK to a draw in the amber rapids...I'm calling lichess to be the next biggest thing. My 3 lichess shirts and 2 coffee mugs are proof that they can attract seasoned chess players from all levels of play.
The site that is dying is CC. As players switch over to Lichess, will it continue to maintain the high standards it has implemented? Let's hope so.
Well, never say never. For the time being lichess has the best cost-benefit ratio. :D
Consider this if someone spends most of their "chess time" studying with the many study aids (many very good) and playing OTB against strong players. (I do not count 1-5 minute games) Wouldn't they improve faster then the person who just wants to complain about cheaters (a computer can only tell you if it was a blunder or inaccuracy based on your play) Let me explain blunder means you can take advantage based on your stenght inaccuracy means you could not take advantage.
In short
He who smelt it dealt it
