How to improve mouse speed?

I am so slow with getting the mouse to the right square. Even if i see the solution quickly it takes relatively long to move. I am using a Macbook Air and i just use the trackpad. If i increase the tracking speed i just end up clicking the wrong squares. I see people move so smoothly executing a puzzle sequence, i wonder how i can improve my speed. Can anybody give me some tips? For clarification, i am purely talking about executing the moves themselves with the mouse/trackpad, not in spotting them or recognising patterns.

any recommendations for what type of mouse would be best to get?

Get a metronome and move steady to the beat, and little at a time raise the tempo. Dunno if it will work with a mouse but it's a tried and true method for playing piano.

Mouse doesn't really matter tbh if you have a office mouse just use that n play just increase the accuracy try accuracy trainers and if you don't have an office mouse you could buy this:

Very cheap and easy to use. It will feel heavy at the beginning but you will get used to it.

You could try enabling keyboard entry (prefs -> game behavior), which is difficult to learn, but faster than mouse entry.

Now there shouldn’t be any reason technically why I wouldn’t be able to improve my speed

Maybe some practice would be good. And disable the mouse acceleration in windows for a better accuracy.
