How can books help?

@ujcn Не похоже, что Вы что-то в этом смыслите особо, но что правда, то правда.

The training must be complex. Opening, tactics, strategy, style adapting, endgame etc. Watching other games and analysing is also a good way whatsoever.
Firstly I am not saying computers are not useful but that they are merely another tool to be used to assist someone. Computers are calculating machines which use algorithms to evaluate positions and play without any general strategy other than to win material, please bare in mind this a bit of a generalization here.

We are humans and conscious beings not robots or machines. Chess is a beautiful game and one in which a human can express their thoughts, creativity and even their uniqueness on the board.

Reading books on chess and studying the classic games, tactics, openings, middle game strategies and endgames will benefit your chess. However developing your own style of play, process of thinking and intuition will benefit you the most.

Also analysis of one's games will improve your chess, do this analysis with a board and maybe with someone who is a strong player, while analyzing really think deeply and consider every possibility. Analysis with a computer will help as well again the computers are a tool and not the absolute everything.

Joining a local chess club I strongly recommend as you will get the opportunity to play many different people of various strengths. One final point reduce the time you spend playing blitz or quick games online and maybe play games with longer time controls this will help as you have more time to really evaluate positions and find better moves.

Enjoy and love your chess as well otherwise what is the point.
