Corona Virus threat to chess !!!

We noticed the real threat of corona virus today
Servers being overloaded, tournaments being restarted, online friends box disabled, official tournaments timings changed and also other tournaments being removed from the tournament page.
I hope no more threatts in coming days to our beloved lichess

I think this situation is a proof of what a wonderful social thing chess is, a sport that can bring people together even through the harshest of times. once the servers are updated, i'm sure open chess culture will have a much wider interest, hopefully one that will last beyond the current pandemic indoor period. the increase in users is a blessing, not a curse.

To all those who say it's fake - today a friend who works in the hospital explained me how terrible she get teared apart when she is trying to save some people from corona for weeks and at one point has to watch them when they suffocate in front of her eyes! ......
she don't get it why so many people don't take the dramatic situation more serious. People are dying from Corona.
Yes - mostly they're old and weak - but is it not anyway always our responsibility to protect the old and weak?
If you don't believe - just travel to Italy and check the situation - till you did - don't say it's fake - also just in respect to those who died and those who lost their closest relatives and those who work all day and night trying to save much as possible - for them it's no fake - it's death proof! 😥

You "know" you are going to heaven? Then, please do so! Now i know, burning heretics at the stakes is fun for the whole family and it is even better if you mix in a few pogroms now and then for variety. When there is still time left in your busy day of edification you could falsify some "holy scripture" or lie and betray to glorify god, like Paulus did, no?

But still, wouldn't it be even more fun to close your eyes (yes, i know - even more so than normal) mutter "i don't believe in scientific concepts like gravitation" under your breath and then jump off the Brooklyn Bridge? Jesus will save you, no?

Interesting enough I don't believe in gravity... But besides that: When someone is actually saved from hell the Spirit tells them they can't go to hell... Now there is fraudulent spirits, but 99% of people sitting in pews are lost as they haven't rested in the finished work of Christ in regards to salvation. Interestingly enough the same people who tend to condemn the facts of faith alone meaning believe on Jesus + nothing = salvation are not only lost (and very often sincere but sincerely on the way to hell unfortunately) are the laziest people who have never knocked doors, never street preached, don't witness, don't read the Bible, don't pray, don't fast. None of these things save a person, yet if I didn't preach who will get saved, if I didn't knock doors who can hear the Gospel and be saved from hell by faith? Ultimately there are MANY who dedicate their entire lives to Jesus in hell this morning, because they didn't trust the finished work... And there are MANY in heaven who did the same who trusted the finished work for salvation and went after reward, prize, better resurrection, as well as many in heaven who just blew it like Lot, Solomon, Saul for a few Biblical examples.

1Jn 5:10  He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 
1Jn 5:11  And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 
1Jn 5:12  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 
1Jn 5:13  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. 

I should also mention the so called "advertising" is only in hopes that someone's entire changes in the snap of a fingers because they heard and believed a video... I don't earn anything from doing that, but I care about the mass of souls going to burn in the lake of fire forever and ever. Motivation by love for the lost.
