Carlsen Outrageous Behavior

The defamation case as to Carlsen became much stronger after what he did resigning the game with Niemann yesterday. It relates to the context of his statements and actions. The same for chess dot com. Unless he has real evidence that Niemann cheated in St. Louis, he should do the right thing and apologize. Chess deserves better than what he's engaged in.

As Carlsen digs his hole deeper with behavior that increasingly makes all of his actions look like cheating accusations, plaintiff attorneys have got to be smiling. @Eyon-chess said in #8:
> Wonder if Magnus has the deep details underlying the previous weeks statement from chess.com, where the following was released: «We have shared detailed evidence with him concerning our decision, including information that contradicts his statements regarding the amount and seriousness of his cheating on Chess.com", and that he knows something from that info that can not be published, where that info make him want to avoid playing more with Niemann? Just speculating.

First of all, what chess . com has is irrelevant to whether or not Niemann cheated otb in StL. Second, Ken Regan looked at many of Niemann's chess. com online games since his earlier suspensions and found no evidence of cheating. Carlsen won't be able to use previous admitted to online cheating to defend against having defamed Niemann unless he has something credible to present from St. Louis that would give colorable support for an accusation that Neimann cheated otb in round 3. It looks increasingly as though all Carlsen has is a tender and bruised ego.
