Just finished 4 games with Cynosure. Pieces won 3 of 4, quite decisively. The other game, the pawns won, with one takeback. :-)
Goldilocks, what do you think of moving the e8 and d8 pawns up to e4 and d4? Would white be too cramped?

I still think that this variant should remain as it is. Is there a slight advantage for white? Possibly, but I still think compared to atomic and antichess this variant is extremely balanced.

I'm getting very close to having a working engine! Maybe some analysis will help us solve this balancing problem. :-)
#35 If Horde Chess is already more balanced than Atomic, then it's less critical to patch it. I have a feeling it's not more balanced, though. Only the data can tell us for sure.

Hmm, well I made a thread right here in the Feedback section requesting the stats on anti, atomic, and 3-check.
You (ChessWhiz) have already saved the game from the awful win percentage of original Horde (where white wins about 72%) but if the strong Horde players want even more change, I guess I'm not opposed to that.
If a vote was held, I think it would be fairly 50/50 on whether or not to improve Horde once again, but I could be wrong.
