  1. Zharptytsia and then maybe finds the continuation
  2. Boomer34 i'm seeing he can go bf6
  3. Zharptytsia but he sees the full d5-idea and why it doesn't work
  4. Zharptytsia I am impressed still
  5. Spiritchaser84 if Bf6, Qd2 is interesting. threatening a similar dxc5
  6. Spiritchaser84 here we go
  7. Boomer34 yep, that works too
  8. Zharptytsia but what if you eat the c-pawn boomer!
  9. Zharptytsia aaaaa, so tense
  10. Spiritchaser84 cxd5 exd5 Rac1 also looks good for white
  11. Zharptytsia cxd5 before dxc5 maybe
  12. Zharptytsia looks even stronger
  13. Boomer34 lotta lines to think through here...
  14. Zharptytsia cxd5 exd5 dxc5 :D
  15. Zharptytsia say that 10 times quickly
  16. Spiritchaser84 I think oddly that cxd5 Rxd5 works for black
  17. Spiritchaser84 cause if dxc5 Bf6 cxb6 Bxc3 bxc7 Bxb2 wins for black
  18. Zharptytsia heh
  19. Spiritchaser84 since the rook is no longer on d8
  20. Zharptytsia yeah
  21. Zharptytsia kinda strange counter
  22. Spiritchaser84 but then there's Ne5 R moves Nxc6 Bxc6 Bxc6 Qxc6 d5 winning for white
  23. Boomer34 this is the key move...i feel it
  24. Boomer34 i'm having doubts now....dang!
  25. Zharptytsia hm, i dont like this as much
  26. Zharptytsia I mean simply takes for black is good right?
  27. Zharptytsia doubling the pawns?
  28. Spiritchaser84 yeah
  29. Spiritchaser84 white is still fine
  30. Zharptytsia yeah, not a game ruining move
  31. Zharptytsia by any means
  32. kleyveu Humm... I was worried that a capture on d5 or c5 would damage my pawn structure. This doesn't seem to cause as many problems.
  33. Zharptytsia this solves the doubling of the pawns at least?
  34. Zharptytsia I guess?
  35. Zharptytsia although white might not want to play f4
  36. Zharptytsia oh, tricky move here
  37. Zharptytsia Bb4
  38. kleyveu on exd5 I'm thinking of taking the Knight and forcing black to take back with pawn, closing the a1-h8 diagonal.
  39. kleyveu but I'm worried about a possible f4 and so forth
  40. Zharptytsia maybe not that dangerous
  41. Zharptytsia I was thinking trying to get the queen on the d-file
  42. Zharptytsia and then clearing the file and taking on e5, but that's very many steps and white can easily sidestep that
  43. kleyveu seems good enough
  44. Zharptytsia only real move seems to be Rac1?
  45. deep_glue Boomer agrees!
  46. Zharptytsia then it must be good =)
  47. Boomer34 e5 is out there on an island sun bathing
  48. Zharptytsia yah, but he is pretty safe on that island for now ;)
  49. Zharptytsia he's got air support
  50. Zharptytsia this is scary haha
  51. Boomer34 ok...let me look at all these options now...i see lots of exchanges as a possibility at minimum
  52. Zharptytsia Rd8+ is the only thing that doesn't lose a pawn, right?
  53. Zharptytsia *Rxd8+
  54. Spiritchaser84 my game starts in a minute
  55. Zharptytsia =)
  56. Zharptytsia good luck
  57. Boomer34 well i'm seeing i can force all pieces off the board except both of our dsb
  58. Boomer34 not sure if that is good or bad...if i want that or not?
  59. Spiritchaser84 getting an error that says "Classical rating is provisional"
  60. Zharptytsia hm?
  61. Zharptytsia where do you get that error?
  62. Spiritchaser84 when I issue the challenge
  63. Zharptytsia hm, lemme ask a mod on slack
  64. Boomer34 if i take with Q, all the pieces come off...
  65. kleyveu this feels drawish
  66. Zharptytsia drawish is good =)
  67. Zharptytsia we like drawish over here
  68. Boomer34 i'm worried that he is thinking so long...
  69. WarGoblin Idk why white is exchanging pieces with a player rated 200 points below him :-(
  70. WarGoblin *black
  71. Zharptytsia eat the queen boomer
  72. nimzovit Black couldbe slghty better after exachange pieces
  73. Zharptytsia don't get tricked
  74. nimzovit Not in this sequence....
  75. Zharptytsia I guess black is hoping for Kxg2 now
  76. nimzovit QxQ RxR and after that BxB
  77. Spiritchaser84 yay boomer
  78. Zharptytsia solid Boomer
  79. Zharptytsia <3
  80. Boomer34 i think all those options lead to the same story...at least i hope so...
  81. Zharptytsia puh
  82. Zharptytsia same colored bishops though
  83. Spiritchaser84 he should offer draw :)
  84. Boomer34 i just see draw...but i've only drawn like once...so not sure
  85. Zharptytsia centralize the king
  86. Zharptytsia or that's probably good
  87. Zharptytsia that's not as good
  88. Zharptytsia I am starting to worry a little about the black king just marching to the a-file
  89. Zharptytsia take it
  90. Zharptytsia well
  91. Boomer34 do i fight for this?
  92. Zharptytsia you grab all pawns you can damnit!
  93. Spiritchaser84 Bb6 wins
  94. nimzovit This move is intresying .....for black
  95. Zharptytsia taaake the pawn
  96. nimzovit Yes spirit i hope that ....
  97. White offers draw
  98. Black declines draw
  99. nimzovit Go kleyveu
  100. liamvo This is lost :(
  101. WarGoblin I go for one second and this happens
  102. nimzovit Good playing now kleyveu
  103. liamvo I guess boomer found a nice way to defend
  104. liamvo I didnt think that hell play with his king here
  105. nimzovit End game are very hard for all player, more for beginner
  106. liamvo He had time to lodge his bishop on g5
  107. Zharptytsia yeah he kinda broke all endgame rules at once :D
  108. kleyveu I just had another Queen's Indian Defense this week on Lonewolf that I drew
  109. Zharptytsia he marched his king to the edge of the board, put all his pawns on dark squares and declined all pawn trades ;)
  110. nimzovit I agree zharpty
  111. Zharptytsia it is tough
  112. kleyveu but someone remebered me on this week's Blitz Battle to put my pawns on the opposite color of my Bishop
  113. somethingpretentious haha that was me
  114. somethingpretentious :+1:
  115. WarGoblin The mods are on our side ;-)
  116. nimzovit Haha something well done
  117. Zharptytsia damn you pretentious !!
  118. nimzovit It,s time to resign now....
  119. Zharptytsia pretty much =(
  120. Zharptytsia but as Mato uses to say =)
  121. Zharptytsia you can always wait for earthquake
  122. Zharptytsia or tornado
  123. nimzovit :)
  124. somethingpretentious or OVH failure which is more likely :D
  125. WarGoblin I would have taken the bishop
  126. Zharptytsia I am pinging them with all my power
  127. liamvo Feels bad man. You played really good boomer. Endgame can just be brutal
  128. Zharptytsia yeah
  129. Zharptytsia endgames are such that you need to know your principles
  130. Zharptytsia you can't play by your normal chess skills in the same way
  131. Zharptytsia you need to remember stuff like centralize your king, put pawns on opposite colored squares, and trade down material if you want to draw
  132. Zharptytsia trade down pawns, more accurately
  133. Zharptytsia not your pieces
  134. nimzovit Kleyveu put your k i ng on d5 and push your pawns free
  135. kleyveu Now I can just march the -e and -f pawns down the board.
  136. Zharptytsia I like it
  137. Zharptytsia the unexpected swindle
  138. nimzovit Change bishop is good for black......
  139. Zharptytsia yes
  140. Zharptytsia everything is good for black in this position =) ´
  141. nimzovit The resigb
  142. liamvo I dont think that anyone would need our helo converting this
  143. Zharptytsia I meant swindle as in "hoping for Kxb3" ;)
  144. nimzovit At correct play game was drawish
  145. liamvo At what point
  146. liamvo In the game
  147. Zharptytsia it was drawish, but you had a full endgame left, and that's tough to play accurately against someone 200 points higher =)
  148. nimzovit ,when all pieces was exchanged on board
  149. nimzovit But your player does not know endgames play
  150. liamvo Yeah the bishop endgame was a draw. But unfortunatly boomers position had a deathstar level weakness that he saw too late
  151. Zharptytsia yeah
  152. Zharptytsia but I still am seriously impressed
  153. Zharptytsia with how well he played the game up to the endgame
  154. Zharptytsia basic endgame principles can be taught ;)
  155. Zharptytsia intuition for good moves is much harder to develop =)
  156. somethingpretentious the bishop endgame was not drawn imo
  157. nimzovit He will improve hes play rapidly....
  158. Zharptytsia it was pretty drawish although opposite colored bishops might have resulted in something
  159. liamvo Really? It had symetrical pawns
  160. Zharptytsia imo
  161. liamvo Iiirc
  162. somethingpretentious pawns on dark squares though
  163. Zharptytsia https://i.imgur.com/NcolizV.png
  164. nimzovit But need to study end game
  165. nimzovit And understand when it's time to resign
  166. Zharptytsia never give up, never surrender
  167. liamvo He hopes for a stalemate
  168. somethingpretentious the king will get overloaded defending the base of the pawn chain and the queenside pawns
  169. somethingpretentious @zharp
  170. liamvo Nothing wrong with tha
  171. Zharptytsia something: exchange pawns and move king to e4?
  172. Zharptytsia and move the other pawns upwards
  173. somethingpretentious Bg1
  174. somethingpretentious if you can control the diagonal as white then maybe
  175. somethingpretentious inb4 stalemate
  176. rampichino Black is slight better?
  177. nimzovit Just slight
  178. Zharptytsia minor advantage
  179. nimzovit Game over
  180. rampichino - 0.5 probably
  181. nimzovit -010
  182. nimzovit Kletveu. Close please
  183. somethingpretentious Qf8# on Kh6 is cute
  184. nimzovit Or qc8 for other
  185. somethingpretentious that isn't mate though nimzovit?
  186. Zharptytsia gg guys =)
  187. nimzovit Thats all
  188. nimzovit Switch on 1board
  189. Zharptytsia booooomer, sorry about the game - you were amazing for the longest time <3
  190. Zharptytsia so proud of your play
  191. somethingpretentious glad our lesson helped @kleyveu :)
  192. kleyveu hehe, thanks.
  193. kleyveu I had in mind that I should put pawns on the color of the opponents Bishop in order to take aways their squares.
  194. kleyveu But maybe that's on opposite color Bishops end. I don't know.
  195. kleyveu It does make sense to not put your pawns on the same color as your opponent though. That way no targets.
  196. Boomer34 gg
  197. somethingpretentious it's correct for the middlegame generally
  198. somethingpretentious but yes for same colour bishop endgames you want fewer targets for your opponent :)
  199. kleyveu gg Boomer
  200. kleyveu Peace, I'm out
