  1. TMaus Budapest Gambit as expected, nothing special at the moment
  2. TMaus had to prevent c6 getting my bishop trapped
  3. TMaus f3 Bd3 Bxd3 Qxe3+ Bf2 Qxd3 winning a pawn i think
  4. TMaus i guess white is slightly better here, dunno why but i feel unfonfortable already
  5. KFerapont How to assess this endgame? (27)
  6. KFerapont I will give a try: There are pawns on both sides, so the Bishop is strong.
  7. KFerapont Also, it is not easy for Black to make use of the majority on the Qside.
  8. KFerapont But for White to make progress on the Kside without exchanging all the pawns is difficult too, but ok, it's White pushing.
  9. hicetnunc +=
  10. gummibaer "pawns on both sides > Bishop is strong" that is a good rule, really. I'll remeber that for the next time.
  11. KFerapont White has chosen an interesting strategy to try to attack b6 and a6 to create a passer like that.
  12. KFerapont Yeah, they bring that out when they discuss N vs B in the endgame
  13. KFerapont just yesterday I read Keres and he wrote that :)
  14. gummibaer also thanks to Keres for this hint :)
  15. TMaus pretty much lost :(
  16. TMaus winning now i guess
  17. TMaus at least the worst is over
  18. TMaus placing a pawn on h3 and my bishop on g2 if possible
  19. TMaus don't see what he can do right now
  20. KFerapont I go away for some minutes, and Black is doing very well :D.
  21. lakinwecker ggs
  22. TMaus white must be winning in the endgame
  23. TMaus dunno what went wrong
  24. KFerapont good game
  25. TMaus first time playing the Budapest. Probably my last time, too
  26. TMaus that was a horrible middlegame for me -.-
  27. hicetnunc nothing beats the actual experience of a 2hrs suffering :-)
  28. TMaus yeah, feels good after all the suffering with the team etc :)
  29. TMaus Blunderfest in the endgame by both sides
  30. bandessz i haven't seen yet
  31. TMaus 34. f4 feels so natural. that was the only move i looked at
  32. bandessz 35. Be6 seems better for me
  33. TMaus i thought i'd sac my Knight
  34. TMaus for the two pawns
  35. TMaus i felt completely lost at this point
  36. TMaus 35. Be6 Bxe4 Bxd7 Bxg2
  37. bandessz i think u should play 27.Nc5
  38. bandessz or something active plan.
  39. TMaus hrmpf, yeah. Your king is already active and i didn't like the Isolani after you exchange
  40. TMaus i slipped into a really really bad endgame
  41. bandessz pushing Q side pawns maybe
  42. TMaus against your two bishops? i had to watch not losing them on a7 and b6 ^^
  43. bandessz On K side u had minority
  44. TMaus i know but my king was cut off, yours was active, my pieces bad, yours dominating mine
  45. TMaus not mutch counterplay :(
  46. TMaus but you're right, i should
  47. TMaus ve started something active
  48. gummibaer I see: the endgame was very tricky - but good game by both sides :-)
  49. TMaus thx gummibaer, thanks for your support ;)
  50. gummibaer *gummibaer waves the TMaus-flag* ^^
  51. TMaus not a very deserved win, though :-/
  52. TMaus pretty unhappy with my play
  53. TMaus But thx for the game @bandessz :-) Good luck for the rest of the tournament :)
  54. bandessz you too @TMaus :)
  55. bandessz and congrats!
  56. gummibaer next time the luck will be on the side of bandessz :)
