Registration Method:

  • Registration Fee: 500 NT
  • Individual Registration: After wire transfer, fill in the form below (include the last 5 digits of your account number)

Competition Format:
The tournament shall be conducted as a Swiss System competition of 5 rounds and will be played according to FIDE Regulations for Online Chess with Supervision.

Each player shall have 15 minutes for the game with the addition of 10 seconds per move starting from the first move.

Round 1: 09:30
Round 2: 10:45
Round 3: 13:30
Round 4: 14:45
Round 5: 16:00
Award Ceremony: 17:30

  • The competition is divided into 6 sections based on Rapid Lichess rating
  1. Over 2000:
  2. 1800-1999:
  3. 1600-1799:
  4. 1400-1599
  5. 1200-1399:
  6. Under 1200:

Determine your section by finding your highest rapid rating and subtracting 100 points.
Note: do not count a highest rating that falls within the provisional rating period.
Players without or with new Lichess accounts (less than 100 rated rapid games) may be asked for further verification or assisted with placement into a section.

If the number of participants in a group is less than 8 people, it will be merged into the next section.

  1. Awards
    Cash prizes will be given to the top three places of each section:
    Each section's prize pool = number of players competing in the section x 400 NT.

1st Place - 50% of prize pool
2nd Place - 30% of prize pool
3rd Place - 20% of prize pool

If the number of participants in a section is less than 10 players, prize distribution will follow the Prize Distribution chart

DISCORD
All players must join the Taiwan Chess Online Discord server to broadcast their screen, audio, and cameras.

Microphones and Speakers should always be turned on by the players. Arbiters will manually deafen (and un-deafen if necessary) all players during games. There should be no external noise.
Virtual Backgrounds are not allowed.

Players are required to share their screen on their computer at all times and open Task Manager.
It is prohibited to have any applications running on the computer other than Discord and a web browser with the Lichess platform.

Set Task Manager to be “Always on Top.”

Tournament announcements and broadcast links will be made to the #tournament-info Discord channel.
