  1. Itzal A cute little mate threat :)
  2. SycoraxCirce this position is a bit unpleasant but thats par for the course with my openings
  3. SycoraxCirce I thought I had Be3 here and I'm approaching equality but I might have missed something
  4. SycoraxCirce watching "Sherlock" and playing chess at the same time...
  5. RobUmbra You need to unlock the mystery of this game first :)
  6. SycoraxCirce have to be precise here.. Bxd5 followed by Ra3 perhaps
  7. SycoraxCirce Rd1 might be playable too
  8. Itzal Wouldn't Rc8 be a problem then?
  9. Itzal I mean only disconnected pawns, but if you are fighting to dry the position out, why to allow it?
  10. SycoraxCirce slightly unpleasant still, but I feel I have recovered a bit from the opening
  11. SycoraxCirce I might do Ra3 to c3 here
  12. SycoraxCirce now I think I will hold the draw. Endgames are my specialty.
  13. SycoraxCirce swapping a pair of rooks and then going Re3
  14. Itzal It's somewhat funny, because white seems a tiny bit better, yet the player is hopeful of holding the draw....
  15. Itzal And Re3 seems so passive
  16. SycoraxCirce a quick g3-f4 is probably useful
  17. SycoraxCirce the rest should be a cakewalk
  18. Black offers draw
  19. Draw offer accepted
  20. SycoraxCirce good game!
  21. SycoraxCirce all my career I have played bad a4-moves when there have bee better options...
  22. badplayer_CM a4 was not really a mistake. Since there is not much in the position.
  23. SycoraxCirce well developing a piece was probably better
  24. SycoraxCirce it was unpleasant for me, underdeveloped and having to worry about the e pawn
  25. badplayer_CM I liked the idea since there isnt much you could go for.
  26. badplayer_CM But you are always in time to go all covered
  27. badplayer_CM My pieces dont get good squares.
  28. SycoraxCirce seems so
  29. badplayer_CM So i nearly have to exchange everything i thought.
  30. badplayer_CM And my the rook ending is better
  31. SycoraxCirce I thought you might do 13...g6 Bg7 Nd7
  32. SycoraxCirce but the e5-e6 advance is a theme also
  33. badplayer_CM I was just a bit worried about 19.Bxd5 since your knight is slighly better but it shouldnt be a huge deak.
  34. badplayer_CM I dont really took thought on that since it is slow and f4 g3 keeps all covered
  35. badplayer_CM And when i want to break through my king may gets in danger
  36. SycoraxCirce ah but the g2 pawn hangs in the shadow of f3
  37. badplayer_CM Oh well. The you do it like in the game with Re1
  38. SycoraxCirce I should have considered 19.Bxd5 more, was too lazy there
  39. badplayer_CM Your knight my can go over e2 to d4. But well its probably close to equal
  40. badplayer_CM I shouldnt have gone for Q×d1. Then the postion is really drawish
  41. badplayer_CM Playing 10. e6
  42. badplayer_CM 9.e6
  43. SycoraxCirce I was getting nervous around move 11, not panicking but nervous
  44. badplayer_CM You could have also gon for Bxd1 which looked better for you in my eyes
  45. badplayer_CM Next Bf3
  46. SycoraxCirce I thought your rooks would join the action and turn the heat up on my king
  47. SycoraxCirce o r
  48. SycoraxCirce or simply eat the e-pawn
  49. SycoraxCirce yeah Bxd1 looks slightly safer
  50. badplayer_CM I didnt knew the theory in detail so i just went for this since i thought my postion is a bit better
  51. badplayer_CM I was suprised you didnt went for 1.d4
  52. SycoraxCirce haha I play any move... if its legal, I might play it
  53. SycoraxCirce last season I played 1.g4 against ErinYu
  54. badplayer_CM Lol
  55. SycoraxCirce and I dont know any theory at all
  56. badplayer_CM I use the games to get knowledge in theory.an
  57. badplayer_CM And some games where i can see how the position develops
  58. SycoraxCirce how much did you know in the line we played this time?
  59. badplayer_CM I knew the resultion endgame which came on the board. I wanted to avoid it but i had no clue how i avoid it and dont get worse.
  60. badplayer_CM Thx for the game i have to go.
  61. badplayer_CM Gl for the rest of the season
  62. SycoraxCirce see you around good luck
