  1. colwem I know this line is supposed to be good for white. But it's sharp.
  2. colwem I hate playing it because I always screw it up and feel like an idiot for losing a good position.
  3. colwem This 5. cxd5 is why black can't just take their LSB out right away in the slav.
  4. colwem They should play dxc4 first or something else that prevents cxd5 from being good.
  5. colwem also playing Nxd5 instead of cxd5 isn't bad.
  6. colwem and playing 6. Qb6 isn't that bad.
  7. colwem by far the move to avoid is 6..b6
  8. colwem Wow, this might be the first time I've seen someone play 6...Bc8. It's aparently actually the best move. It just looks so silly no one
  9. colwem ever plays it.
  10. STCLion means it shouldn't have come out in the first place ...develop N instead
  11. patalanoc ...15 that was not good. i think. ne5 and i'm losing pretty bad?
  12. patalanoc maybe i missed something after i misssed something
  13. STCLion some nice combos possible ...
  14. STCLion we 're all Kside attackers tonight ...
  15. STCLion thought he'd see that
  16. colwem 20... Ndf6 was not expecting that.
  17. colwem All I wanted in this world was to get rid of that knight.
  18. STCLion Qxb5 axb5 R1-c7 N-e8 N-g6 ....
  19. STCLion or if don't want a R trade Nxe6
  20. Qudit Nice, we're doing well here too
  21. Qudit This should be winning for white
  22. Qudit Rxe8 Rxe8 Rc8 now
  23. Qudit Or just Kf2
  24. Qudit Bg6 works too
  25. STCLion hmmm h5 or c2 ...
  26. STCLion ideally you'd like to grab another pawn , before you R trade ...
  27. STCLion N-e6 takes it
  28. Qudit Well, Rb5 was a mistake
  29. STCLion R-c7 instead ...
  30. Qudit Bring the king over before giving up the c-file
  31. STCLion get the easy one ....4 isn't going anywhere ...
  32. STCLion ok i got you
  33. Qudit Or just take both rooks earlier
  34. Qudit *trade
  35. STCLion play to you curreent strength - e-g pawns
  36. Qudit Two pawns up bishop vs knight is pretty good
  37. STCLion middle pawn push should be dominant
  38. Qudit Yeah, should still be winning
  39. STCLion on the fly course correction
  40. Qudit f4 I think
  41. Qudit To keep the king out
  42. STCLion he can't trade
  43. Qudit Yeah
  44. STCLion that's why p-f3
  45. STCLion .....the long slow way .....
  46. STCLion hmm p-f4 or Bxb7
  47. STCLion sorry gotta lure the N off first
  48. Qudit Not sure if Bxb7 wins
  49. STCLion N takes
  50. Qudit I know
  51. STCLion unless u lure it off , liek so
  52. Qudit I would assume it loses
  53. STCLion lol
  54. STCLion loses 2 pawns to 1
  55. STCLion but e and f shoudl be good
  56. Qudit White will get both b pawns
  57. STCLion ok Nxb2 traps it
  58. Qudit Well, not now
  59. Qudit Yeah, that's an idea
  60. STCLion supposing Nxa4 first ...
  61. STCLion then really Bxb3 is forced ....
  62. Qudit E5 now
  63. STCLion downhill flow ....
  64. Qudit Yeah, it's gotten trickier
  65. STCLion f5
  66. STCLion then re-adjust B
  67. STCLion 4-2 you could just pawn storm Kside
  68. Qudit Have to try
  69. STCLion let Q side stay locked
  70. Qudit Tricky without the king though
  71. STCLion but he can't commit his K or N , either
  72. Qudit Yeah, the knight is tied up
  73. STCLion d pawn is gone if he pulls N away
  74. STCLion pawn storm !
  75. Qudit It's winning probably, I just meant it could go wrong with a mistake
  76. STCLion consistent with the goal of having B on long diag
  77. Qudit g4 here to stop h5
  78. STCLion even with K its 5-3
  79. STCLion total pieces against total pieces
  80. STCLion ;?)) one of these times , he's going to slip up and let all his time run out ....
  81. Qudit Lol
  82. STCLion yup let him take all three
  83. STCLion hoping for a blunder otherwise its resignable now
  84. Qudit g6
  85. Qudit g7 g8
  86. Qudit Black can have the b2 pawn
  87. STCLion don't get distracted ...
  88. STCLion there's also no + , on the 2nd move
  89. STCLion W has 3 moves befor ehis K si affected
  90. Qudit Yeah, and g7 is check too
  91. patalanoc i have to stop playing bf5 in the slav. it always leads to this. well played. you had me beat from the get-go
  92. colwem Yeah, thank you for that. I play a lot worse when I'm not winning out of the opening lol
  93. patalanoc thank you for the game. good luck to you and your team
